There’s simply no way in hell the dynamic won’t change. They almost pushed the pin there.
Things start off in a rather calm fashion with the duo at a Manga Cafe. Teasing shenanigans and all (you know the deal), but the main take here is that they’ve found their next cosplay: Liz-kyun, a succubus from one Marin’s favourite Slice of Life series, whose tittle is too long to be typed. At first, she doesn’t think she’s cute enough to pull it off but with a push from Wakana, we get things going.
The day of the cosplay is here and the big surprise is that we’re at a Love Hotel. Talk about a gold mine for lewd jokes, LOL. Joking aside, I gotta confess I’m impressed to see an anime series going for such an open approach to teenage sexuality. The show has this going for it, that’s for sure. Room enjoyed, photos taken cosplay done. But they almost, almost went too far. So after everything that happened, how are things going to be in the future? There’s no way you can go back to things as “they were before” after something big like this. My girl was especially affected by the experience. Maybe the realization that her actions actually can (and that’s often the case) put her and Wakana in that position finally came – after all, the thought of “what would have happened” hadn’t the phone ring, was there. She, at least, spent moments processing it; even admitting that things went too far (a rare feat to her, gotta admit).
And Gojo-kun certainly had experiences that put the “-kun” in his name to the test, as well. But even with all the out of the world innocence this dude carries, how will this experience change his perception of Kitagawa-san? It’s clear that he is at least affected by Marin – we’ve seen it time and time again. Though, when the route goes to romance, this guy’s braincells just won’t cut it. But now he had a girl, and not just any girl – Marin – in his arms while in positions that could (and in this case, certainly did) mislead his head to a lot of different perceptions – and at least, he too spent the night trying to process what happened. At least I hope he did.
But dang, the damn phone call. What would have happened, say, had it not happened? The mood clearly indicated a kiss was incoming so at the very least, we know those two would be willing to take things the next step (even if only physically). Certainly things would’ve gone from 8 to 80, but it would obligate them to confront where they stand as a possible couple and that could’ve also been an interesting turn of events. But while we phantom on that possibility, the reality for those two is that there’s no more going back – and I’m really interested to see where things go from here. There’s only one episode left and after all that happened, I’m eager to know where the show will drop us at, until it certainly coming second season lends. I’m curious to know what your thoughts are on the episode, so leave those in the comments. Thank you a lot for reading and until we see each other again, stay safe.
